Had an Acura Integra that I went to Vegas in '95. I thought I was totally incog as my previous vehicles were four '69 VW through the ages. Back from the show and a cop crosses the median on the interstate and pulls up behind me and pulls me over for tinted windows! In the car he says, "I smell marijuana and the last car I pulled over I confiscated this bag of paraphanelia." I said "yeah, I smell pot, too. Its coming from that bag.". He immediately turned away and said, "You're right, you can go." Thank God for dashboard cameras and tape recorders!
Right now, I have an '85 Dodge Ram 360 converted van - 'Special Bus'. An old church school bus from Oshgosh, WI. I bought it from a friend who had had it on Dead tour in early 90's. She called it Sweet Pickle. Before that it had been on Phish tour with some kids from WI, who painted it with green house paint when they bought it from the church. It gets about 5mpg, so its now Zoey's playhouse.
Took it to Dylan and Dead in '03 in Cincinatti. Got pulled over for no license plate somewhere in OH. Police impounded it because I'd lost the title, reg. - you get the idea.
In court, I tried to convince the judge that it was mine and must have done a good job. My pregnant girlfriend and I were living in it, and she released it to me with the stipulation that I not drive it 'in her jurisdiction'. I had it towed to city limits and drove it away. Its a great tour vehicle with a full-on bed in back, propane grill on the back door, kitchen from one of my VWs, propane stove, etc. Been the scene of many a scene - man, were we crazy or what? I can remember goin up to Red Rocks to see Phil in '02(?) with a full-on laser light show and disco ball jamming out behind the driver. We left at 3AM and got to Red Rocks late morning of show. You know the rest of the story.

I had a 1966 Split Window VW bus which was great. Somebody stole the VW symbol off of the front. It was brown and white. Never had a problem with it - just good times. I sold it in 1995 to another head in Massachussetts who I didn't know(He responded to an ad for it). Well June 1995 I went to Great Woods to see Phish and lo and behold there's my old bus. I see the dude I sold it too and my friends and myself went in and partied with his group. I also saw it at a Phish show later on.

I thought Chuck D had it for a while but then I saw it was just a big clock. One day I'll walk into somebody's house and there it will be hanging on the wall:)
